Larger groups get lower rates! This basic rule of health
insurance can make it difficult for small employers to find
affordable coverage. One solution is to combine their
collective buying power and buy insurance for all of their
employees. Ggroups can do this by forming a
"Health Care Alliance".

Benefit
A smaller employer who is part of a qualified alliance can
receive business discounts and significantly reduce
employee health insurance plan premiums.
Eligibility
Employers must have fewer than 150 employees with the
majority of them working in Ohio. Also, you must be a

UNUM Long Term Disability -- When faced with
an employee who's been disabled or uninsured, employers
have few options. Do you continue to pay all or part of a
salary? Offer unpaid leave? Terminate employment? For you
and your employee, the choices can be devastating.
Contrary to popular belief, long term disability (LTD)
insurance is not a high-cost employee benefit. In fact,
when compared with retirement, medical, workers'
compensation, social security disability and dental
premiums, LTD is the least expensive coverage.
With UNUM Life Insurance Co., BX member firms receive
up to a 20 percent discount and can customize their
coverage. UNUM's annual premium averages $200 per
employee. Given the high incidence of disability and the
low premium cost per employee, LTD coverage makes good
sense in today's workplace.

UNUM Life and Accidental Death &
Dismemberment -- Exchange members have access to a
variety of life and accidental death & dismemberment
plans that are fully insured and underwritten by UNUM
Life Insurance Co.
Life and AD&D options include plans with flat
coverages of $10,000, $20,000 and $50,000, or employees
can choose coverages that pay one and two times their
basic annual earnings, up to $100,000 maximum.
