BX Foundation Donation
On
your list for giving,
consider a tax-deductible gift with lasting impact
In
this season of giving, one gift you can make that has lasting impact is to the
Builders Exchange Foundation.
The Foundation – a
501(c)3, charitable organization – supports efforts to develop the current and
future workforce in Central Ohio construction.
Donations, which are tax-deductible, go to efforts like the Builders
Exchange Scholarship Program, which this year assisted 43 local students in
construction-related careers.
“In today’s
economy, student need is higher than ever,” said Dwight McCabe (The McCabe
Companies), Foundation board president.
Donors like the fact
that their gifts “are donated locally and put to work locally,” he said.
In addition to scholarships, the Foundation has funded development of
several management education programs aimed at employees of BX companies.
Member contributions
to the Foundation helped launch the BX Rising Leaders Institute, a year-long
program for young managers that is now in its fifth year.
And this year, the Foundation underwrote two education courses designed
for the Exchange by
Franklin
University
: Improving Your Managerial Effectiveness and Enhancing Your Professional
Presence.
“We’re all about
improving our workforce and building a better industry,” McCabe said, adding,
“and the way we do it is from support by BX members.”
He stressed that the
Foundation appreciates donations of all sizes.
“Last year, we received gifts from $25 and up – and we can use every
dollar.”
