BWC Mandatory Additional Safety Training
Ohio Bureau
of Workers’ Compensation’s (BWC) new rule mandates that
any employer currently participating in a group rating
program that has experienced a workers’ compensation
claim between January 1, 2007 and December 31, 2008 must
complete a required
two hours of additional safety training before June 30, 2010.

tools and documents readily available will help you

to Effective Safety Program Management:
This presentation focuses on BWC’s 10-Step Business
Plan for Safety, which is a primary component of many BWC
programs. Group-rating participants are strongly
encouraged to implement these components to help prevent
injuries and control workers’ compensation costs.

Update:
You will learn the top citations being issued for
general industry and construction over the past year so
you can ensure your business is in compliance. We will
also look at trends in workplace injury rates and the new
focus of the agency under the Obama administration,
including the new rules that are under development and the
industries being targeted.
