CPR Challenge
Trainer
Course for the Construction Industry Standard, OSHA 500
This course is designed for individuals interested
in teaching the OSHA 10- and 30-Hour construction safety and health outreach
program to their employees and other interested groups. Special emphasis is
placed on required topics in the OSHA 10- and 30-Hour Training Courses as well
as on those that are most hazardous, using OSHA standards as a guide. Course
participants are briefed on effective instructional approaches and the effective
use of visual aids and handouts.
This course authorizes you to
become a trainer in the OSHA Outreach Training Program, to conduct both 10- and
30-Hour construction safety and health courses and to issue student cards to
participants after verifying course completion. As part of the successful
completion of the course, you must prepare and present an assigned topic, as
well as successfully pass a written exam at the end of the course.
Prerequisite
OSHA 510, and five years of construction industry safety experience. A
college degree in occupational safety and health, a Certified Safety
Professional (CSP) or a Certified Industrial Hygienist (CIH) designation, in the
applicable training area may be substituted for two (2) years of safety work
experience.

Refund
Policy
Tuition minus 5% administration charge will be refunded if written
cancellation is received two weeks prior to the program date.
Registration is nonrefundable within two weeks of the course date.
Substitutions may be made at any time, but transfers to future courses
cannot be made within the two-week nonrefundable period. The university
reserves the right to cancel programs if necessary. In this
event, the university's liability is limited to the full refund of your
registration fee.
Group Discount
Any organization sending three or more students to a single program
and same date is entitled to a 10% discount on each registration fee.
Alumni Discount
Alumni and currently enrolled full-time students of the
University of Cincinnati are entitled to a 10 percent discount on their
registration fees. Degree and year of graduation must accompany all
registrations
requesting the discount.
