Building Inspection Call-In Number - 614-470-4677

The following information is required to schedule an inspection:
    - Name and phone number of person calling in the inspection
    - Type of inspection required
    - Lot number and address of the subject property
    - Permit number

REGULAR BUSINESS HOURS:
8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

POLICIES:

Contractor Registration:  Canal Winchester does not require local registration. However, HVAC, electrical and plumbing contractors are required to provide a copy of their current state license.

Building permit applications, except for plumbing, are available from the village's website at www.canalwinchester.org.  Select Building & Zoning forms.

Two (2) sets of plans are required for residential submittals.  

Four (4) sets of plans, signed and sealed by the architect or engineer preparing the plans, are required for commercial or industrial submittals

For plumbing inspections, contact the Franklin County Board of Health at 614-462-3160.
