Unlike the BX Safety Innovation Award, which is based on unique safety practices, the BX Safety Achievement Award is determined by evaluating statistical data. Applicants are evaluated on their workplace injuries and
illnesses from the previous calendar year, along with the
company's workers' compensation "experience modification
rate" (EMR). National figures from the Bureau of Labor
Statistics are used as "benchmarks" in the judging process
and finalists are subject to site visits from a team of BX judges. |
